I was born and educated in Yorkshire, but have lived most of my adult life in Southwest Scotland.

I came to Scotland to work and stayed ,after marrying my Scottish farming husband.

Born and bred in the world of farming, most of my books have a rural setting

 with true to life anecdotes about farming and country life. The characters are fictional though!

 Some of my novels are historical, or are part of a series which leads up to the present day.

When not writing, or in the garden, I enjoy local history,

 reading, cookery and spending time with family.
